I had heard of people seeing the sun dance in Medjugorje, but until this year this had not happened to me. This year I noticed that each evening at the 6.00pm outdoor Mass, that the sun was replaced with a white circle like disc which oscillated.
One could see the clear side of the disc oscillating, and I immediately though of the Holy Eucharist. Through the centre of the disc there was a dark line which seemed to remind me of the Body of Christ being broken for me.
A red background appeared with reminded me of the Precious Blood of Jesus, which made me think of 1. Cor ,6:20...."You have been brought at a great price - Glorify God."
The background changed to blue Our Lady's colour. This tallied very well with the words of Fr Jozo to us about Jesus growing in the womb of Mary....
Having been born into the life of Jesus in Baptism as his Brothers and Sisters, and because of our union with him, we too are nurtured by Mary as we grow in her womb with here divine Son Jesus.
It would be wrong to go to Medjugorje just to itch for something new as St Paul says. Surely it is the abiding faith, hope and love, of the people of Medjugorje and its pilgrims which make a lasting impression on us, and help us to open our hearts to God and Our Blessed Mother in Prayer....
